CataCap appoints Operating Partner and recruits Investment Manager

Jacob Thygesen is associated to CataCap as Operating Partner as of 1 May 2013 and Christian Andreasen joins as Investment Manager as of 1 June 2013

Jacob (1965) has approx. 20 years of experience within international private equity, investments and business development, most recently as Partner with Danish private equity fund Axcel (1998-2012). Today, Jacob operates as a professional board member and private investor in a number of small and medium-sized enterprises.

As Operating Partner, Jacob will – alongside our three other Operating Partners – advise CataCap in relation to new investments and business development across the portfolio companies and, in due course serve as an active board member in selected portfolio companies.

Jacob’s many years of private equity experience complements the operational experience of our other Operating Partners and will contribute to catalysing business development and value creation in the portfolio companies.

Christian (1986) joins CataCap after more than three years with Nordea Corporate Finance, having built significant experience with financial analysis and execution of M&A transactions and worked closely with private equity clients. Before this, Christian worked as a part time controller at Danske Bank Group Finance for 4 years during his studies.

At CataCap, Christian will be actively involved in execution of investment transactions as well as business development activities in the portfolio companies. In addition, he will take responsibility for CataCap’s valuation model and other analysis tools.

Christian holds an M.Sc. in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School with additional studies and programs at Harvard University and London School of Economics.
