2016 looks to be another year of strong performance in GSV. Since the acquisition of Bramsnæs in the beginning of the year, GSV now strengthens its position in modular space even further by the acquisition of Bilsby. The modular space business reduces cyclicality in GSV and increases the exposure to the public sector and general industry, outside the construction and civil engineering sectors.
”I am proud of the fact that we managed to acquire Bilsby, one of the leading Danish players in the modular space sector, with a reputable own production and some very skilled employees. The Bilsby brand will be retained within GSV, as an important part of our broad product offering.” Says Dan Protin CEO in GSV.
”We in Bilsby has had an on-going corporation with GSV for many years, hence it was a natural thing for Bent Bilsby to enter into a dialogue with GSV, when the time for a generational change was up. I am personally looking forward to be part of the best Danish rental equipment and modular space organisation with the strongest product offering for the customers of the enlarged GSV” says Jesper Bitz, Sales director at Bilsby.
GSV was acquired by the private equity fund CataCap in April 2015. The investment is made together with Access Capital Partners and Danica Pension who together with management are funding this acquisition.
”On behalf of CataCap and the shareholders including a number of employees in the company I am looking forward to welcome Bilsby into GSV. We expect to continue to grow together and look forward to additional new initiatives in 2017. We have high expectations of the consolidation of the rental equipment industry, that will create unique opportunities for the customers” Says Peter Ryttergaard, partner in CataCap
